Sending newsletters? How do you print and mail?

Hi friends,

I want to start sending printed newsletters into a neighborhood of 400 homes that I farm. I figured they'd be 8.5" x 11" booklets but the printer is quoting $400 to create them. Even online printers are above $300. How do you guys make your newsletters? How many pages? Where do they get printed?

I second Abel. Simple sweet and to the point. Dealmachine is what we use, so not quite newsletter tech, but they work great for finding off market deals. we average 1 closed deal/ 3000 sent. Highly filtered and targeted to our client base. Good luck

Hi @Chris Farrugia,

I do monthly email newsletters.  Size is similar to one page front and back (may be a bit longer).  I have gotten good feedback and it has been a great way to stay in touch or top of mind.  Cost is much lower than print and saves me time in the end.  I realize that the purpose of my newsletter is quite different than you sending one out to a neighborhood.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

1 pagers are best - front & back is OK but anything more than 1 page may be too much - unless its a quarterly/semi-annual/annual newsletter with tons of valuable information.

Regarding printing: Do you have a preferred lender or title company that you currently do business with? OR want to do business with?

In my market, lenders and title companies offer free (oftentimes co-branded) printing. Depending on the company, they may have an in-house marketing and printing division where you can pick up the marketing material.* The postage is usually on us Realtors to pay for.
