Hey Guys -
I'm not sure that I shared this with you guys, but a few weeks back there was a great 3 page feature article in a magazine called REI Voice about me and BiggerPockets that I thought I'd share with all of you.
Great read, that was truly inspirational and I agree with your philosophy on family first. Family is the most important institution. It's great that you worked with kids in challenging situations. I understand how difficult it is working with children with multiple diagnosis, this was how I got started in REI my family started by working with homeless kids. My grandmother purchased a 49 acre farm just for that reason, and when we reached capacity there we started purchasing houses from our city and converted them into transitional living facilities.
Nice work, Mr. Dorkin! Thank you for being an educator, for serving your community and our students/children (difficult work that takes heart and soul), and for BP. My hat is off to you.
Great article and glad to have joined your site. Family first and great values to serve others as you wish to be treated - you have my support @Joshua D.
Thank you @Geraldine Barry for telling the @Joshua Dorkin Story. And thank you Josh for modelling and inspiring adaptation and transparency. Hope you feel loved and appreciated by this fantastic community!
@Joshua D. Awesome stuff! I've listened to the podcasts for a while, but it's good to know a little bit of the back-story of BP. I really appreciate the information you make available, and I tell every investor I speak with to get on this site and GET ACTIVE!
Great article! Love what you have built for real estate investors big and small.
I am not only a real estate investor but a nurse who works in a classroom with special needs kids. It takes a very special person to work with these kids.
Thanks for all that you do! I love this site and have learned so much from it. I tell anyone who is even thinking of getting into real estate investing to stop by and visit Bigger Pockets.
