"Tagging" or @Mentions NOW Live on the BiggerPockets App!!!

One of the most frequent requests for the BiggerPockets App is to add the "tagging" or @mention feature. 

That day has come!!!

Now, on both iOS and Android, you can tag people as you type!

Type @? to get a list of people who have already commented on the thread, or tag your colleagues to bring them into the conversation by typing @ followed by their name.

Please make sure to update your Android app to the latest version - this is a new feature.

    @Mindy Jensen,

    Still doesnt work for me. Like we said above the app shows in the app store that there has been no update to it since Oct. of last year. Version 3.5.1. Maybe you can check with the developers and find out what the new version is supposed to be?

    Can't figure out why it works for some people and not for others. And its just not my phone, it doesn't work on my iPad with the clunky iPhone app on there too.

    Oh well, will just have to live with it I guess and jump on my computer anytime I need to tag someone in a post like I am doing here. :-(

    just downloaded app today from Google play store on Android so I assume latest version. this does not seem to work for me.

    Thanks Shannon, I am glad I am not the only one. I have been in IT for ever so I definitely know I am not doing nothing wrong. I have an iPhone but I would think it is the same on an android phone so if you read the app in the google store it should say what version the app is and the last date it was updated. The one on the iPhone says it was last updated in Oct. of last year so I don't know how I am supposed to get this new update since that is all that is available in the apple app store.

    Somethings fishy in Denmark. :-)

    Well if they just added in the new @? functionality, shouldn't there be a new version with the new feature? I have done everything and just can't get it to work.

    John Dombrowski When I type the @ and name it auto fills and I can click on it. But doesn't seem to tag them in blue like it does when on my computer. Using newer iPhone 6 Plus. I have the same 3.5.1 version updated Oct. 16. Don't see updates.

    Crazy....it wasn't blue earlier and now it changed over when I left and then came back to this forum post. Strange. Anyway, seems to be working for me now, just with a delay??? :-)

    Three posts ago where I tagged you. That doesn't shown blue on your screen? BTW.....I purchased my first property when I was in college there in San Diego. It was a 1BR/1BA condo on Ranch Mission Rd., near Jack Murphy stadium way back when Dan Fouts was the Chargers QB! Maybe 25-30 years ago! Bout it for like $45K. Sold it a few years later for maybe $52K. I see it looks like they're going for about $200-$250 now :-)

    No I see no blue tag in your post. And yes prices too high to buy around here. I am going to start buying out of state.

    Mindy Jensen thanks for this. Also, if you can pass along the request, would be great if we can upload photos of properties directly from the app (on our phone) vs only doing this via computer.

    Hi @John Dombrowski, the Android app tagging feature is new. It has been in the iOS app since the last upgrade. I'm sorry for the confusion. I just went back and re-read my original post and that isn't clear.

    Well iOS doesn't work then. I have has this app for a year and a half and the latest update was 10/2016 and it's never worked for me and I have had a couple different iPhones in the last year.

    I guess we all just need a computer and internet access to get all the features of biggerpockets. Someday BP will catch up to the age of mobility. iPads included...... :-)

    Android and tagging people... One time ever, on my Android, using Firefox, the tag function worked while trying to post something.  It has never worked in the app (I do have the latest app version), or in Chrome.

    I am away from my desktop and use my mobile device 98% of the time, so this function would be great to have.

    The apps are currently undergoing a complete overhaul. At the original time of posting, the mentions worked. I'm sorry they do not now. They will in the next iteratio. Of the app, due this summer.
