Seeking for Lender: Owner Builder Lending

Hi everyone,

My family and I are planning to build a home in California and are exploring owner-builder construction loan options.

We are having difficulty finding lenders that allow us to act as the owner-builder (with or without a supervising GC).

We would really appreciate any guidance on:

• Lenders in California that allow owner-builder construction loans

• Mortgage brokers experienced with self-build projects

• Any strategies others have used (construction-to-perm, private lending, HELOC, etc.)

We are open to working with a supervising contractor if required and can provide detailed plans, budget, and timeline.
