With all the buzz around AI, and so many business tycoons focusing on it right now. I am very curious to hear how everyone is integrating AI into their business in this industry. I want to take full advantage of it myself, so hearing some new ideas may be eye opening!

@Luke Tetreault - I'm starting to use AI a bit to identify properties in my target geographies. It's utilizing publicly available info and then sharing a target list of properties. I've asked additional questions to qualify the leads and it starts to hit some roadblocks. I'll continue to tinker with various prompts and see what progress I can make. Good Luck!

It’s definitely an exciting time for AI in real estate.

For me, the biggest impact has been using AI to improve responsiveness and consistency across the business. I built Pathwaize to include agents that handle inbound calls, qualify leads, and book appointments instantly - so no deal slips through the cracks.

I don't directly "use" it for business, but I use it more as a consultant. Chat gpt helps me write contracts, edit emails and sales outreach and even build some software tools. I think it's most useful as a tool/consultant/automation.

I'm a little skeptical about all the "automation" talk because from my experience it still needs human imput. But, it is super helpful at analyzing sets of data and that kind of thing.

Hey Luke, great question.What we’ve done is look at everything we handle manually and ask ourselves one key question: Can this be automated?We started by automating our KPIs, especially tasks like data entry, since those were repetitive and time-consuming. From there, we focused on connecting different parts of our CRM systems and automating those workflows as well.Essentially, we take each process, ask if it can be automated, and then use ChatGPT to explore what’s possible and work backward from there.

As others already mentioned, using AI as a daily research assistant is a huge help (as long as you keep your wits about you and always think critically about what it spits back out at you). Another application that many RE investors and business owners do now is "glue" the different tools they use together. For example, they may get leads DM'ing them on Instagram about an ad they posted. Before they had to enter those leads into their CRM manually, but now they can use "glue" services like n8n, Zapier, etc. to do it automatically. Pretty exciting stuff imho.

Hey Luke, great question. I think AI is becoming less of a “buzzword” and more of a practical tool if used in the right areas. For example, a lot of landlords I know are experimenting with AI to streamline tasks like drafting rental listings, organizing lease clauses, or even triaging maintenance requests.

One thing I’ve found really useful is leveraging platforms that already build AI into their workflows. Baselane recently introduced Baselane Smart, which layers AI-driven insights on top of rent collection and expense tracking. It automatically categorizes transactions, highlights trends in cash flow, and even helps surface tax-deductible expenses you might miss. That saves a ton of time vs. spreadsheets or manual tracking.

For me, that’s where AI shines: reducing busywork and surfacing insights so you can focus on higher-level decisions. Curious to hear if others are using it in more tenant-facing ways.

I personally operate with ChatGPT within our legacy building. "AI", in my opinion is a mirror. A mirror held up to see yourself without seeing yourself physically. It's a phenomenal resource, that can either be used for destruction of self or building legacy. The choice is ours, in my experience.. If you dig past surface level answers, you'll find plenty of truth... It can rock you to your core... Back to business though, they'll serve you well. Craft valuable resources with you, for you and many others! In my opinion, it's a zero to low entry cost resource to jumpstart your legacy. What do you have to lose? What do you have to gain? It's a mirror, it's you. Underneath all the masks we've been assigned or we've assigned ourselves.
