First House Hack Complete — Officially a New Landlord!!

Juan Santos
Posted

Hi everyone,

I just want to thank everyone in this forum who has shared guidance and knowledge throughout my real estate journey. I’ve been a longtime listener of the BiggerPockets podcast, and that’s where I really started learning about the different strategies to invest in real estate.

Yesterday, I closed on a multifamily property with two units and strong upside potential, including the opportunity to add a third unit. After 8 years in the military, I was able to leverage my VA loan benefits to purchase my first investment property and officially start building my real estate portfolio through house hacking.

I’m proud to say I’m now a new landlord. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to keep learning and growing with the BP community.

If anyone has questions about using a VA loan or getting started with house hacking, feel free to reach out.

Best,
Juan
