Success Path and other frauds...we can stop them

We are looking for others to join a lawsuit against Success Path, Flipping Formula and other companies involved in taking millions from people promising things they never deliver. The more people we can get to file the better our chances are of succeeding.

Here's why...

I've written a couple of posts about my experience with real estate investing 'guru's' and wanted to provide and update and ask for some help. You can see my story in the forum post 'Taking a stand on a $50,000 lie'. While my loss of money is tragic, it's not as tragic as the insane amount of money these people are making and others are losing even as we speak.

Here's how it works...

Once you realize you've lost thousands on empty promises and fraudulent practices you contact the company and ask for your money back. The Director of Customer Service, Shane Andrus will contact you via phone and try to make you think you are the problem while attempting scare you out of taking further legal. He'll likely insult you and accuse you of hidden agenda's and financial problems that you are looking to solve at their expense. He'll tell you that if you pursue legal action you will spend thousands and get NOTHING. He will offer you a fraction of what you lost if you sign an agreement first. This agreement states you should never speak of the settlement they gave you and never mention their name in a negative context ever again. It doesn't guarantee a date in which you will receive the money and some have complained they never saw the money even after they signed the agreement.

The business structure...

My lawyer has done some research and found a very tangled web of businesses that run various seminars, bootcamps, coaching, etc. The parent company of all of the companies they use is Zurixx, LLC. The public see's the companies as Success Path, Flipping Formula and others but they are simply Zurixx 'doing business as' or dba Success Path, Flipping Formula, Advanced Real Estate Education, etc.

Check out https://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/training... for a larger list and more info. You'll have to scroll down to Alternative Business Names in the left column.

We THINK this is how they shelter themselves from lawsuits. Anyone who files will likely list Success Path or whatever company they had experience with as a defendant. But that company MAY not have any assets or there is some other catch. It's funny because thinking back to the Vegas Seminar JJ Childer's pretty much explained how they work and recommended investors structure their businesses the same way. The catch phrase is "Own Nothing, Do Nothing". This means you need two companies. One to own the assets and the other to do business under. The idea is that you purchase a property with Company A, LLC and do the work as Company B, LLC. This way if some shenanigans happen and someone has grounds to sue Company B for operating issues, Company B has nothing to lose...Company A has all of the assets. We aren't positive this is how they work but it's a strong possibility.

Just for fun..

I invite you to go to Zurixx's web page http://www.zurixx.com/about-us/our-team/ for a visual of who we are dealing with.

Please PM me if you are interested in getting involved and helping all of us that have lost money and others who will in the future. This affects people of all ages. Picture your parents, friends and other family losing all they have because they put their trust and confidence is these people.

If I was laying a bet I would estimate Tarek and Christina made more in the order of 5 million..

    Hello Erica,

Did you accept any monies from them? They've offered us peanuts to what we spent on this scam. Our lawyer says the only option is to go into arbitration, and what will that do but cost us more money. They've got us between a rock and a hard place.

No I haven't accepted any money from them  thank goodness. Sounds like you need a different lawyer. Let me know if you'd like the contact info for mine. It won't cost you a fortune I promise!

Yes we got taken by Success Path and we are filing a 3 party complaint with our local DA's office in SF Bay Area next week.  We are 3 sets of partners who are comparing notes. We have each all asked for all of our money back. You know how that went. My Name is Deborah Rodgers and my friends and I all live in Northern California. We would be very happy to join a lawsuit.

Hi @Erica Nagle, it might be worthwhile to put the same discussion under "Real Estate Guru, Book & Course Reviews and Discussions" Forum. You might get more responses as some people might have subscribed to that specific forum vs. the General Real Estate Investing one.

@ericanagel, @deborahrodgers is this still onoing? I would be interested in joining! I am originally from California and "invested" in training to help me get started with real estate and recently moved to North Carolina. If we could rally more folks, maybe there is some way to recoup at least some portion of the $ we wasted.

Hi @Erica Nagle we are in Houston, Tx. We are at a seminar this weekend and today (july 23rd, 2017) tons of people are going to sign up for the seminars, summits, workshops, mentors between $20k and $45k. We were one of those but thanks God I found this site before! Please let me know if you need more info.

I am very interested in joining any class action you have going. I have spoken with 2 class action law firms and they both were not interested. They said that in order to meet class action requirements we would need 30 or more in the class and there needs to be a "common" issue experienced by "all" the class members. It's very frustrating expecially when you see all of the negative complaints all over the internet. Seems like some law firms don't want to do any work.

Did  you contact the law firm that did te Trump University class action? It seems to me that this is so similar that a law foirm would not hesitate to take this on. Unfortautely, thus far it has beed frustrating that I have not been able to find such a firm.

You also posted "Let me know if you'd like the contact info for mone [lawyer]. It won't cost you a fortune..."

I'm confused - do you have an attorney that is charging you or are prparing a class action? If a class action it shouldn;t be costing you anything.

Help me understand and give an update on the class action since this post is 6 months old...thanks.

Hello everyone we are going thru same paid them and they told us to take class that was within two weeks of signing up.  We weren't able to that class that time they told us they will contact us to setup the date when they are in the area again that was in April.  Today i contact them to get money back they said you cannot get it back you had 3 days grace period from that day i signed. We never got a call or email. When we contact the company they said we can not get our money even thou we never took the class. It doesn't seem like the customer service representative knew anything i couldnt get a straight answer.

I invested in a company that does short sells with the promise that if I did a short sale they would refund me the money. They never refunded me the money. What are you looking to accomplish with the lawsuit, just to return your money or to shut them down?

Just pay the lawyer already. If you were gung ho to cough up tens of thousands to a guru you shouldn’t have a problem paying a professional for a real service.

I'm interested in joining this lawsuit if it's numbers you need.  I've attempted since spring of 2015 to get out of debt and recoup what I spent on classes with this company.  I'm a licensed broker and all I wanted was the financing which I never qualified for because I put so much of the educational program on the same credit cards they told me to obtain.  What a freaking' nightmare I'm now in.  It's not a system, it's a group of flippers all telling you how they have made money-not always legal in every state.  What I got out of it all was certainly not worth what I spent.  I have also asked for a refund and all I get is a different coach.

    Please advise.

well you just learned about one of the top business enterprises in the state of Utah and that is fulfillment companies.. these companies not only rep real estate but pretty much any other business or speakers that are on tour selling anything from books tapes to tony robbins etc.

they are very good at what they do... they are brought up and used to rejection and that's who they hire to sell you and beat you down..

Does anyone have a list of the fraudulent companies? It would be wise to put this over social Media for the sake of others.

For those of you who paid by credit card recently, or even within the last year, why not call your credit card company and file a claim for failure to deliver goods or services “as promised”? Every company has a different time frame for filing a claim but most CC companies provide insurance against fraud, misleading advertising, or failure to deliver goods or services “as promised”. Your CC company has a significant amount of legal firepower behind them and wants to keep their customers happy so as long as you file the requested documents in a timely fashion they are likely to side with you if there is any doubt. Merchants will often back down if faced with their attorneys or offer much more favorable settlement terms than you could ever negotiate on your own. Best part is you already paid for your, I mean their, attorney’s fees. Why pay again if you don’t have to? BTW, I’m not saying you shouldn’t pursue complaints with your State’s Attorney General’s office. By all means do that and possibly even reach out to the US Attorney General’s office when you have enough evidence of potential fraud or false advertising pooled together. If you can generate a large enough number of complaints in your state you might be able to get them shut down in your state completely if you can tie it all back to the parent company.
