Im sure, like me, you have quotes posted around your work area or in your notepad. What are they? I have several:
"Someday is Today"
"You are your own limitations, you are your own success"
"Whether you think you can, or you think you can not, you are right" -Henry Ford
"I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas, Im frightened of the old ones" -John Cage
Also, have you seen Arnold Schwartzneggers 6 rules to success youtube video? That pumps motivation into my viens every time!

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.”

I've never heard this quote phrased as a question before. I worked on a project 10 years ago that involved turning a raw land campground into a 100+ room luxury cabin and tent resort....in five months. As you can imagine, there were a lot of moving parts, and there was a lot of haste that made waste. Those of us who worked on the project but weren't writing the checks started saying, "There's never enough time and money to do it right but somehow there's always enough time and money to do it over." I'm pretty sure we thought we made that up. ;)

"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." - Lao-Tze
For those rough times in life:
"Remember, as life continues to present challenges, it is also offering you lessons. The biggest challenge for us all is to see the lesson in the challenge".
"When you fall, don't analyze where you have fallen; analyze where you have stumbled."

Do you know who's quote this is? Is it your own?
I've saved a lot of these
Not mine, I got it from former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson, but when I wrote this I was drawing a complete blank on who to credit, I have used it for many years.

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” ~Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture
For those that haven't watched this video of his last lecture you should do so. It is well worth the time invested and it is one of the most inspirational things I have ever seen.

"How do you eat and elephant? One bite at a time."
- Really like this one when things are stacking up...
" You can create just about anything. Except motivation, and without that, you'll create nothing".
- Helps me a lot when i'm feeling lazy. Encourages me to read, listen or just be productive in general...
"There's good decisions, and theres bad decisions. The only thing worse than a bad decision is no decision. So do something!
- True on many levels. Indecisiveness kills.
This one is a bit personal, but its one of my favorites.
"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you; Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom."
- It may cross some "PC" lines, but I feel it speaks volumes.

"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life."
Muhammad Ali AKA "The Greatest"
This is what motivates me to strive to be a successful business owner. In my opinion it's rather simple to take orders, but it takes courage to put your paycheck on the line as a business owner.

Wow! Everyone, these are great! If reading this thread does not motivate you , I dont know what will! Here are a few more that I carry around in my binder:
"Have more fear of Regret Than Failure" -Unknown
"The Number of Times I succeed is in Direct Proportion to the Number of Times I can Fail and Keep on Trying" -Tom Hopkins
"Cherish your Visions and your Dreams as they are the Children of your Soul, the Blueprints of Your ultimate Achievements" -Napoleon Hill
I really like Napoleon Hills quote. No one will dream for you, no one will nurture your dreams and make your dreams a reality... that is up to you!

I was just talking with "Ms Ali the great" today about this one. My college lacrosse coach made us memorize it. Now whenever I dont have at least a small "win" it actually hurts. I dont like to hurt.
Imagine your father (mentor) reading this to you from memory, slowly, since he has been through many challenges over the years, like mine. Remember... slowly.
The Man Who Thinks He Can
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t!
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch that you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind!
If you think you’re outclassed, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself
Before you can win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the strongest or fastest man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Borrowing from Bryan Hancock's Linked In post:
"If you want to reach your full potential, start getting uncomfortable. Start taking risks. Expect rejection, pain, and disappointment. Allow the fear and emotions to run through your entire body, even if it feels paralyzing. It's part of what it means to be truly alive. In fact, your deepest discomfort signals your greatest area for growth." ~ Selena Soo
