Hi @Connie Chan! Yes, it was word of mouth because our previous CPA knew almost nothing about real estate investing. Now, my new one Nate Busch CPA, is actually a real estate investor as well. He holds rental properties. So, to me you cannot get a better CPA than one who actually invests in real estate. Nate has saved us so much money in the last few years I cannot begin to tell you. Amazing!

In the world of social media and YouTube and even BP I am (should be this next week or so) selecting a CPA firm that can handle my growing business and help strategize my tax plan to ensure I can capture all possible deductions/exemptions etc annually.  I’ve been doing my taxes myself for 20 plus years and handing it over is something I need to do to maximize my time and other people’s  expertise.

Honestly the best one is the one that works  best for you, because if the idea of calling or emailing them is dreadful I’d find a new one.  I’d say it’s a “team” effort but I think it’s an overused word.

@Connie Chan I went through two CPA's before I finally crossed paths with my current CPA. He is a military veteran and handles everything virtually, so he can work with you no matter where you live. He is aggressive and focuses primarily on business/REI taxes. Such a blessing to have found him!
