Verifying Landlords ID..Is that normal

The person who is potentially leasing our condo is wanting to verify our ID that we own the condo.  He asked for a copy of our drivers license.  I have reservations about giving someone I don't know a copy of my ID.  Now days there are many ways to verify someone's ID without viewing the Driver's License.

He has to go through the application process and an interview with our HOA. I feel like this should be enough to know that we truly own the property.

Is this normal??

I'd suggest they check the tax records, and it will be obvious you're the owner.    I wouldn't give a copy of my DL, that's too personal for a business transaction IMO.
