Dishonest contractor installing cheaper flooring

Lifeproof flooring was to be installed per the bid.  He installed a cheaper unknown brand throughout our duplex. Many other issues as well like the trim in the photo attached. Our attorney has been contacted. Should I have him pay for the cost of removing all the flooring and installation of the proper flooring?  A new contractor will be used.

If you got proof of insurance before the job, another avenue to pursue is to contact the Insurance company and open a claim.  Most Contractors Liability policies will not pay for redoing improper workmanship but there may be parts that are covered.  Also, it may be a useful as a threat/bargaining chip your attorney can use so I would not file until you talk to the attorney.
