Rental Property Insurance
I have a primary residence townhouse in Frederick MD. I am going to rent it out in August 1 can I keep the current insurance I have on the property or do I need to change the insurance? Are they any laws or rules against keep the current insurance.

Great question. Homeowners policies are written for owner occupied properties. Since you'll be moving out on 08/01, you'll want to switch that to a dwelling fire policy or a "landlord policy."
I'm not sure about the laws part but insurance companies don't take kindly to homeowners policies on non owner occupied properties; you will potentially run the risk of a claim not being covered. But...I'd reach out to your agent to find out for sure.
