Hello Everyone,

I have seen several posts inquiring about a meetup in San Diego and have not yet been able to find one myself.  So, I thought I would put out a feeler to see how many people would be interested in starting a new meetup group for all of us in San Diego.

Even if it starts as just a few of us going to a local coffee shop to chat, exchange ideas, ask questions, etc; it would be great to have a place to get together and talk San Diego Real Estate.

If you would be interested in attending, please leave a comment below and tag anyone else you know on BP that may be interested.

Hello,

I organize a very small meet-up in Encinitas. The focus is "Buy and Hold" and the only requirement for attendance is that you currently have a rental property. We have a few guys just getting started and some doing large apartment deals out of state. I don't have speakers. It's really an opportunity to go around the table and talk about whatever the heck you want to hopefully related to real estate. That's it, and most of our turn outs are about 4-10 people. If anyone is interested and meets the one requirement above, feel free to send me a message.

    @Kevin Fox I am just getting started here In CA and in the industry, I feel like everyone says that these days but I have been trying to soak up all I can and would love to meet with some new folks and chat real estate! Keep me in the loop for sure!

    @Kevin Fox Awesome idea, thanks for taking the initiative. Would love to join this group and attend / contribute regularly. Early January 2016 works well for me, I'll stay tuned to this thread for updates. I'm in the Pacific Beach area. Looking forward to meeting everyone here!

    @Kevin Fox I am very interested in attending. I agree with Justin R. His current project would be a fantastic view for a rehab and unique rental/value add arrangement. I could also add value for any insurance questions. I am an independent commercial insurance agent and REI is my primary focus. Please keep me updated on logistics and if you need any help organizing, planning, setting up etc...PM me or call or email and I am happy to lend a hand in anyway I can.

    For the record, it was originally @Tim G. idea (which he made happen in September) to meet at an active investment. Credit where credit's due.

    Thanks for the shout out @Justin R.

    With the speed at which new members visit this site I'm not sure it was known or recognized these Meetups have been occurring regularly in San Diego already. 

    Our last one in September was a huge hit, we held it at a 4000 sq ft Mission Hills rehab project. I think we had about 30-50 in attendance throughout the day and many of us went for beers at Shakepeares pub afterwards. Since then we'be been fielding input from the group for the next location which Justin has probably got the best project for us to use. 

    Anyhow I'll keep doing the Meetup I'm doing and if folks want to help me or create their own that's cool. The more resources for people in San Diego the better!

    Recently moved back to this area, spent several years in Santee as a kid. (Wish the parents had bought a bunch of lots back then in the 80's and 90's!) Deffinetly interested in whatever meet ups occur. I am currently part of that group who feel like they can't afford SOCAL even with some capital built up, would be thrilled to get some local investor insight!

    Well, that gives me even more reason to be excited that Tim & I will be collaborating on the future meetups.  

    With all the incredibly knowledgeable members I see posting on BP from San Diego, I really think we will have a great group going forward.  Can't wait!

    I'm a newer member and I would love to join the meet up! I'm in the same group as Ryan Jackson, love San Diego but need to learn how to make it work!  and what better way to meet others and get insight  from  the BP family! Thank you for getting this started.

    I may have reached out to you before about an ENC meet up group. I would like to attend your group. I currently have 2 rental properties out of state but looking to grow in North County. Do you the next meeting set up yet?

    Moved down here from Los Angeles, sold some commercial property in Downtown LA and looking to get started in North County soon!

    Is there an interest group? Facebook group maybe?

    Looks like it's been like this before so maybe some group (probably facebook) would be nice and we can refer people there when another one of these posts pops up. Just a thought.
