Best Security System for STRs

Hello BP Community! What would you consider to be the best bang for your buck security system for short term rentals? We live about 4 hours away from the property and the house is already set up with ADT. Would you recommend we continue with ADT or look to switch to a different or more cost effective system? Thanks!!

Hey Shane - I will not make a specific recommendation as I have clients with all of the major ones (Eufy, blink, nest, etc) and I have not had any complaints that they went with x over y.  What I will say is buy a major brand with a good reputation (no knockoff brand on Amazon - I have seen people use those and swap them out fairly quickly).  I will recommend considering all smart device capabilities so you can manage them on one app for convenience.  For example if you already have a nest thermostat I personally would recommend getting their other smart devices to manage on one app.  The only caveat to that would be I highly recommend the Schlage lock.
