Whos doing short term rentals in Sarasota

Hey BP community.

Who is doing STR in the Sarasota area? What is working and what is not?

My wife and I are flying down in a few weeks to check out a few places up and down the gulf coast. Would love to connect or find a little meet up group while we are visiting in early March.

Currently we have a $7million portfolio consisting of some small multifamily and some Beach Condos up here in Maryland. So we aren't new investors. But I have strong ties to Florida and we plan to move down this way in the next two years. We thought it was only fitting to start doing some investing in the area.

@Andrew Steffens is spot on here. He's incredibly knowledgeable on the STR landscape across Tampa Bay and does a great job helping investors navigate the local regulations and performance trends and it's worth connecting with him.
