Newbie investor in Winchester, VA

Hi all!! I’m looking for any local investors in the Winchester, Va area, NOVA, or WV?

I’m new and wanted to introduce myself. I’m married with 1 son who is currently 15 months old. Me and my husband are starting investing together and trying to navigate being a professional team. Any tips for married teams would be appreciated.

@Nadia N. hey! I live in Stephens City and invest in Winchester and parts of WV. I would love to connect. I would recommend joining the I81 Real Estate Investors group on Facebook. @Bill Kenny and his partner run the group and the community is awesome!

    Hi Nadia, nice to meet you! There are several investors from the Winchester area on BP and quite a few that invest in WV and MD. My wife and I invest in Winchester, Frederick County, and Front Royal. There are a few good Facebook groups and meets up in Martinsburg and Frederick (MD). I am working on getting a group together around Winchester. Let’s connect, would love to hear your plans!

    Awesome to see fellow Winchester investors reaching out. I would love to get a group together but I would be lying if I said I was prepared for a structured meeting…I would prefer to just get a group of local investors together in a very relaxed setting to network and ask questions of one another. I would love to get together on one evening in late January / early February. I am looking at possible locations to meet up, I think a brewery/restaurant would be a good first spot.     That sounds great! Thanks for taking the initiative. Late January works great for me. Were you thinking weekend? What about January 29th? As for location, a brewery sounds perfect. There are so many in the area.

Also, I know of an investor agent friend that lives in Winchester and is very active in the investment/property management space. Will DM you his contact info so you can connect. Good luck!

    Hi Nadia and all investors on BiggerPockets in the VA,WV, MD & PA area,

    We live in Cross Junction, VA at Lake Holiday and have been investing mainly in WV. We are up to 5 properties in 6 months and now looking toward investing in MD. (Inventory is getting low in WV) Martinsburg, Paw Paw & Hedgesville. I am looking for a good investor group to mingle with and maybe joint ventures. My niche is mainly rentals and not flips. Love the BRRRR strategy. We have 3 kids and I still work full-time so it gets pretty busy. We are working toward a good passive income to retirement from W2 work in 3 years. Please let me know where and when any of these group get together.
