Talk to everyone
You truly never know who knows who. Strike up conversations at coffee shops, at work, at the gym - anywhere! A casual “Oh, I’m getting into real estate investing” often leads to surprising connections.

Online OptionsMeetup has tons of online real estate groups that meet regularly, and joining those is an easy way to start building relationships. Facebook groups and Discord communities are also great places to ask questions, add value, and meet motivated investors.

In-Person
Online is great for volume, but in-person is where real trust forms. Look for local REI meetups, city-based BiggerPockets groups, real estate association events, and even investor-friendly agent workshops.If you ever want to connect, feel free to shoot me a PM. Happy to help however I can!

Hey @Mansi Rana

As others have suggested, your local REIA is always the best. You are not being sold some online course by someone that makes more money selling courses than actually doing deals. If that is not possible, then BP is obviously a good start. There are a lot of service providers here that can be mentors for you without charging you money and are invested in your success. Be vulnerable, connect with people, and find the right team to support you. Feel free to reach out if you need advice, happy to help!

Welcome to the BP community. Love that you are looking into real estate investing at such a young age. Going out to real estate meet ups where you don't know anyone definitely can be intimidating, but I promise you it will be worth it. I know I was when I first started out. One recommendation would be to figure out a strategy that best resonates with you and doubling down on it. Shiny object syndrome is real!

@Mansi Rana Welcome! Pleasure and honor to come across your thread. I understand your fear of uncertainty.. It can feel scary "shooting your shot" but here's a little secret.. You have to take the leap of faith! Take a moment to reflect on how many folks you'll serve if you just follow through with ONE intentional act daily.. The world needs you, truly! Service and Love need restored back into our beautiful country. You won't be everyone's cup of tea. Just like not everyone will be yours. However, if you truly desire to walk alongside many "successful" investors then you'll face yourself in the mirror and say "I am a successful real estate investor". Followed by your commitment, like attending a meetup. You'll find your people but only if you put in the work... I too was timid! Tip though.. It doesn't get you far.. This response is intended to love! You've already done one "hard" thing and that's creating this thread. Which tells us all that you are CAPABLE! Here's what we all need to remember.. We're all out here shooting our shots. Trying to make it. You've done well so far! We are proud! Now... KEEP GOING!

@Nicholas L. Thank you for the advice! Quite honestly, I have RSVPd to a few in person meet outs and have gotten too intimidated to making the 40+ min drive after work to meet strangers on the internet lol. Do you know if there are any online methods to build a network?
