Returning to Pittsburgh to Invest

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker here. Now my mister and I are a buyer!

I originally left to build my tech career/nest egg in SF with my mister, but now I'm back and looking for deals. Pittsburgh is where we are going to settle down and we plan to then expand throughout Appalachian states.

We have property management experience and personal funds to put skin in the game. We're here to connect with other investors, potential partners, contractors, and lenders. Our main interests are multi-family and mixed-use commercial properties, especially if the commercial space has a commercial kitchen (restaurants, bars, cafes, etc.).

We're also prepared to put in sweat equity in the form of property management, at least to get started. We'll take the responsibility of finding the property (although help is always appreciated). We know the market. We're staying in the market.

We have a restaurant on board for an immediate lease if the restaurant space is vacant at purchase. We're also connected with a lot of credible/stable small business owners to take immediate leases if there is a fit.

BP has been such a resource for learning, now I'm reading to start. Hoping to make connections here.

Welcome to the community Taylor! I come from a different background as well. I was an engineering consultant at a firm before transitioning full time into real estate. I've got 28 units and sell about 100+ properties every year. Let me know if you need any advice on getting started. I've done the brrrr model, house-hacking, sold str/mtr, and raised capital.
