I'm a 20 year RE investor but re-introducing myself after many years off of BP
I think I've been on here since around 2012-- still recovering from the 'great financial crisis' and REI had seemed dead...
It’s been a long while since I’ve been active on the forums, so I wanted to reintroduce myself. IEspecially since I'm in a new area the "inland empire" CA from San bernardino county to Riverside.
I’ve been investing in real estate for about 20 years, starting with— house hacking and helping family with property management. Over the years I tried all these and still continue them--
-
BRRR
Fix-and-flip projects
-
SFR and Small multifamily (2–4 units)
-
Short-term rentals (Airbnb/VRBO)
-
Mid-term rentals
-
Small-apartment buildings (7–10 units)
I currently manage a mixed portfolio and stay hands-on with some value-add projects, operations, and long-term holds. Mainly in Long beach and SE Florida areas.
After focusing heavily on growing my businesses over the last few years, I'm excited to reconnect, share what I've learned, and learn from the community again. Looking forward to contributing and networking more consistently. Especially looking for people in the inland empire from Pomona to San Bernardino/Riverside counties. And if anyone knows of a good REI club (I like FIBI ones but also have been to Bigger pocket meetups-- like the non intense networking ones)-- let me know

Welcome back! It sounds like you’ve built a solid and diverse portfolio over the years. If you’re open to exploring, the Midwest has some strong opportunities for cash-flowing small multifamily and single-family investments with good long-term appreciation. Connecting with experienced investors in these markets can give you insights on off-market deals, local rehabs, and effective strategies for scaling your portfolio.
