Great move getting started! If you’re in Moline, you’ve actually got a few decent local pockets, but a lot of new investors I work with also look slightly out-of-state in nearby Midwest markets like Ohio, where you can find more off-market deals, lower entry prices, and stronger cash flow on 1–4 unit rentals. It can be a good way to compare what your money does locally vs elsewhere while you’re learning. Either way, connecting with local investors and agents in your area is a smart first step, you’ll learn fast just by seeing real deals and numbers.
