Hello BiggerPockets,

We are brand new to the world of real estate investment and have jumped in with both feet. Can't wait for the day we are able to fire our bosses and take control of our own financial future. Currently live in Southern New Hampshire and we would love any advice on the best strategies for new comers to the field we can get. Beyond excited and motivated to get started on our new journey and look forward to hearing from all of you and the wealth of knowledge that you have. Thank you in advance.

You are in an amazing place. My husband and I own 7 houses, and got started less than 4 year ago. The key for us was baby steps and figuring out what worked best for you. We self manage across the country and move a lot duty to my husbands military career. Even with our crazy life, we have made it work.

Thank you so much sir. I was on last night for your podcast on finding deals. Learned a great deal, got ideas and can't wait to put 2 of them into action! We are just setting up the company now to get our feet on the ground and our image out into the community. @Chad Castanino Welcome.
You should save everything you can (Cash is King).
Concentrate on all the information that's on your radar for your niche (i.e. if you're going to do Flips, focus on flips and the paperwork for them, you can do Auctions, Multi families, etc later).
And don't forget "all that glitters is not gold" (only about half the information here is accurate;-(

Hi Chad, welcome to BP.
This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.
This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in NH and MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.
Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have. You will definitely want to check out the NH RE Mastermind group in Nashua. There is also the NHREIA up in Manchester. Crossing over the border the NEREIA in Chelmsford and a good quarterly meetup in Reading (just missed it, so it will be awhile). There are also several on the North Shore, Mike has a couple in Peabody and Danvers and there is another one I know in Saugus too. If you like to be in the car there are many more towards Boston and the South Shore as well.
