San Gabriel Valley Investor looking for Networking Opportunities!

Hi everyone! My name is Mike and I would like to introduce myself to the BP Community! My wife and I are looking to be more active in real estate investments. I have done some flips, buy and holds, management of my own rentals, lease option and seller finance, as well as mortgage lending in the past. After starting my own business, which has now been running mostly on smoothly, I would like to become more active in my real estate investments. I have recently started working with a group of local investors as well. Since my wife and I would like to make real estate our full time, I would like to network with as many people as possible so we can help each other out, especially those in the Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley, Inland Empire, and Orange County areas. Please feel free to add or message me so we can discuss opportunities! Thanks everyone!

@Mike S. Welcome to BP. There is a local meetup in Lake forest every month except for December that you should check out. http://meetu.ps/2QWCkh

If you would like to meet up before then and talk about investing let me know. I am in Mission Viejo and can meet at a Starbucks.

I am currently flipping homes and I am searching for my next project at the court house steps.

This all may be a little far for you, but you included Orange County in your request.

Thanks Joe for the warm welcome! I'll checkout the recommended meetup. I would love to meet and discuss opportunities. Please keep an eye out for an email from me!

@Mike S.

Welcome aboard the vibrant BP community. You already have some experience and with additional effort, will quickly climb the REI ladder to its pinnacle.

To be more successful, you simply have to work on the other elements to progress your REI pursuit. Below are some quick links to get engaged on this site.

REI books suggested by BPers

Simply, bone up on the areas that you need to expand knowledge in such as, Forums, Marketplace, Learn, Network, Analyze and Resources.

Feast on the Podcasts, #askbp Podcasts, blogs and webinars

Lastly, this site thrives on interactions and as such we encourage two way exchanges and look forward to educational and thought provoking ideas relevant to REI.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to BP, this is a great website and resource for all types of real estate investing.

I always recommend these 3 things to people beginning in Real Estate Investing:

1) Do a lot of research here

2) Do not spend a lot of money with coaches, it would be much better to put that money to work and learn from experience, I'm not against coaches or education, but you need to be careful as there are some that are really bad

3) There are many real estate clubs out there, visit them, select your favorites and meet other investors working your area. You can find info on clubs here and also you can look at meetup.com. Networking is key to success.

Bill Tan has a networking group that meets once a month in Arcadia, this is the link:

and there is also a FIBI in Pasadena:

There are several other good ones... go to those and ask around.

Cheers! see you around...

Hi Mike,

Welcome, I am a RE investor in the Covina area. I have also attended the Arcadia meetup several times. Its a great club with many experienced investors there.
