I am a PhD. in Molecular Biology by training, NY licensed clinical laboratory scientist by profession and US equity stocks day trader by passion but a learner and student for life! A complete newbie in real estate, so much so that I am trying to learn real estate vocabulary nowadays to know what actual terms mean.

I am starting out with my first investment in NY and have put aside around $600K for it. I am hoping to apply the BRRR strategy and then roll from there. However the real estate market and all the variables to consider seem more daunting to me than anything that I have done in the past. Therefore, to make this journey more informed and in anticipation of connecting with like minded investors with similar goals as mine, I joined BP. Thank you for stopping by and reading this. Hope to get connected with you soon and exchange ideas.

@Hilal Khalil I stopped doing business in NY/ LI 15 years ago, very difficult to make any real money unless you invest 300k - 1 mill. , then in IMO just to risky. There are other markets you can earn double digit net cap rates without doing a darn thing but closing , 100% hands off, Its ALL about knowledge and your team.

Good Luck
