How does renovating a condo work?

Hi everyone, I’ve been circulating around the idea of buying a cheaper condo to purchase as a primary residence. I’m prioritizing condos that basically only need a new kitchen and bathroom. Regular full bathroom size, and kitchens that are maybe 8x8foot roughly. How exactly does that work with the loans, timing, and typical cost for something like that? I’ve not gotten clear answers from my team and would love some advise from someone who’s gone through it. I’m seeing something today, and next week and understanding this would directly impact my decision on buying in the region. Thank you so much!

When you say condo - you mean you own the inside and HOA or someone else owns the outside?
