Flip House with a Pool - Fill or Replace?
Hi Guys,
We found a great house with flip potential that has an in-ground pool. Trying to determine if it is worth putting in a bid for.
Question - How much does it cost to remove and fill a in-ground pool?
How much does it cost to just replace all the equipment and get the pool running?
Thanks!

Having a pool will likely appeal to a certain segment of buyer, and they may very well be willing to pay a premium for the property. But, as you suspect, it may also limit your buyer segment as well.
I would talk to a local agent who knows the area and can guide you on the right approach.
In terms of cost, cleaning and replacing all the equipment could be as much as $5000, assuming the liner is in good shape. If the liner needs to be replaced, it could be a few grand more. If most everything is working, it could just be a few hundred to clean.
To fill it in properly is probably $2000-5000, depending on size, configuration and accessibility.
