There is a Rich dad Poor Dad training seminar here in Jacksonville coming up soon. It is free of charge. Is this a good training or is this a scam? I only want to go if it will teach me something I need. Anyone ever go to one of these? http://www.richdadfreeseminar.com/Jacksonville/34.0000/Index.dtm?MID=5003831#content#back

The program is not a scam although it is a hard up-sell. This is what to expect: The free one day event comes with a 200 page manual (Learn to be Rich Training Academy) and is an overview of investing. Those who wish a more in depth understanding are encouraged to attend the $300 weekend event. There the concepts presented earlier are fleshed out and expanded on. This event comes with the 330 page "Guide to Real Estate Investing". The last half day is dedicated to playing the game Cash Flow and signing up for the really expensive stuff: class packages, mentorship programs, productivity software packages, wealth coaches, etc. The classes were about $5K each (2 yrs ago). You and a guest could take a live class twice in 24 months plus you could view at your leasure an on line prerecorded presentation of any class for which you had signed up for. That is basically how the program worked.

If you are interested there is a students group on facebook, rich dad class and symposium information exchange, where existing students sell and exchange classes among themselves. I've been to the site a couple of times and saw posts from people selling guest seats for as little as $500. That beats the hell out of $5K
