Potential tenants screening

Tom Oduor
Posted

Hello, new here and to the real estate investing and I’m trying to rent out my home. Quick question, would you rent to those on social security income and what kind of proof of income would be acceptable? Would a written statement from a financial advisor suffice as proof of income?

Check stubs, Account statements (showing deposits), and any tax documents would be best for proof of income.

I haven't heard of anyone accepting a tenant based on written statements from financial advisors, I don't think this would be sufficient.
