Rent Payment Processing Time

Is there anyway to get rent money same day? If my tenant pays on the 1st of each month, I do not get the money till a week later because of banking processes taking 5 business days. Then I am late for my payment. What can I do differently?

In my experience, the banks have been flexible in moving the payment dates around for my clients. What you could also do is pay the mortgage out of pocket for one month to put yourself on an arrears schedule so that the previous month's rent is paying for your mortgage.
