Getting real estate license

Kerri Asekeme
Posted

Is it a good idea to get my real estate license to have access to the mls?

I am seeing how much profit is going to my agent. I'm thinking to get my license so I can buy more properties. And possible even sell my own as well.

Anyone else doing this?

As a Realtor myself, I believe that for most people, the best approach is to spend your time finding a good agent who can help you. There are many fees and details most people aren’t aware of, especially in the first year.

If you’re genuinely interested and have the time, go for it. But if it’s just to save money, I wouldn’t recommend it. A good agent will more than pay for themselves with a couple of solid deals and ongoing support.
