New To Medium-Term Rentals
I am new to real estate investing and as a traveling medical professional, I have experienced renting with mid-terms rentals and would like to own one. Does anyone have suggestions for good markets for medium term rentals? I am from the midwest, but am traveling on the west coast and would be open to out of state properties as well.

I’m actually in the Midwest right now getting some MTRs up and running. There’s plenty of demand in different cities like Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Indy.
Being a traveling medical professional, I would ask your recruiter which other cities they work in to get a sense of where some of the demand is. I’m sure you’ve used Furnished Finder before but did you know that there’s a stats page? Furnishedfinder.com/stats allows you to look up different cities to assess the demand.
MTRs can really work in any city but you need to decide your ideal guest type. If you want to target traveling medical professionals find properties in cities with level 1 trauma centers that have lots of travelers. If you want to target corporate travelers pick a city with a lot companies that require their employees to be in office, etc.
