Multifamily Med-Term Rentals

Michael Bishop
Posted

Hello everyone, I'm looking to purchase my first investment property in Columbus GA and due to the large military and healthcare presence, I was thinking it could be better to do medium-term rentals vs long term. I have a few questions about it:

- Does multifamily work for medium term rentals or do travel nurses and those types only really do SFH?
- Is fully furnishing multifamily a better situation for these kinds of customers?
- Where do I find the rent numbers for those kind of rentals to run analysis on potential purchases?
- Is this a realistic goal or should I focus mainly on long term with multifamily?

Thank you for your time and would love to meet any investors in Columbus GA because so far I'm alone in my journey.

Hi Michael, I’m currently exploring markets for MTR and Columbus is towards the top of my list. I’m still needing to do a deep dive but would love to hear anything you’ve learned.
