Hello, i have watch plenty of YouTube videos, also purchase a couple course off Udemy on sale for about $10. I’m pretty much familiar about what’s going on an have study a lot about it. I’m only like 2-3 months in. An I’m hook an love what I’m seeing. Which book or course would you recommend about real estate wholesale etc. for a newbie that would help me an push me to go get the 1st deal. Thanks y’all
@Scott Mac I have read that Scott. An it was an amazing book. That’s the book that got me into real estate very heavy. Every time I look at something I see real estate. I’m hook. I read that about 2 months ago. Any other real estate books that you have read that got you where u at now. Thanks Scott. Any advice will help
Not a Real Estate book, but How to Win Friends and Influence People is priceless in teaching interpersonal skills that are critical to making good deals happen.
Hi Johnnie, “The Most Important Thing” & “Mastering the Market Cycle” (both by Howard Marks) are phenomenal books for anyone interested in any form of investing.
Some of the most valuable books I’ve read (for RE) were not specific to RE but their principles were applicable. “Influence” by Robert Cialdini is also very much worth reading.
I second Rich Dad Poor Dad as a first read! Also, for me "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller" was a huge help...and the audio book is free on YouTube! 🤑
@Johnnie Hawkins A lot of great suggestions so far. I’ll add a couple of general business books because when you grow as a real estate investor you will be running a business.
The E-Myth by Michael Gerber and Built to Sell by John Warrillow
I recently listened to, and then bought the physical book, "If you can't wholesale after this, I've got nothing for you." It's a really good start to finish book on how to wholesale. But don't take it as a bible. I'm not 100% in agreement with a few of the details. But since you've got so many other sources, you have a lot to compare it to.
Read E Myth as suggested. read it a few times. If you’re planning to scale, focus on systems will absolutely make or break you. Even if you’re planning to only buy one, disregarding systems could sink you wrt motivation unless you’re looking for a second job putting out the same fires repeatedly.
@Johnnie Hawkins don’t pay for anything! Go find a mentor and work with them. Bring them some value and they’ll teach you everything you need to know.
