Do I have potential? In Hawaii?

I'm 33 highly skilled carpenter looking to translate my skills towards real estate. Own 2 trucks no home just rent. 10k in stocks 10k in cash so not much leverage I'd assume. Does a relationship exist where private lenders will work with some one like me with no experience in real estate but years of being around people who brrrr strategy because I built or rehabbed their properties. Now wanting to do it for myself?
