LLC, DBA or just GO to start?

Hello BP!

I know there are a ton of posts regarding LLCs and DBAs for starting out, but I want to spell out my thoughts here for some advice...

I want to use a website for my marketing side of things, but I would like to use a site different than my own name as in DeuterInvestments.com. If I do that, would it require a DBA/LLC? In time I would like to use that name a business name, which is why I would rather start my site with that first. Can I start out using that site, but merely run any business side transactions as my personal name?

My next question is how does business credit work? If I started a DBA and in time decided to go to an LLC, does anything tied to that DBA transfer to the LLC or is it starting fresh again?

When you get 25, or 50 or 1000 properties.

Not needed today.  You may find that the business is not for you and then you will have wasted time and money.

Build a portfolio, have good insurance, and then get an LLC.
