I am planning on starting an investment partnership that will buy a few properties. I have my investors but am looking for any good How To books and articles for setting up the structure. Please help. Thank you
I'd talk to a real estate attorney about that one. It is really important that you protect yourself when setting something like that up. I wouldn't be cheap when it comes to the legal side of a partnership agreement.
You can probably use some standard partner agreement from Staples if you're looking to go low end, though.
cash invester is right.
But I would think twice about starting a partnership, if you can do it by yourself I would recommend it. To many people that I know end up dissolving the partnership and going there seperate ways.
