Real Estate Agent vs Real Estate Investor

Hey, Bigger Pockets Community! I am in the process of getting my Real Estate license and I have the opportunity to work with a local real estate company and be an agent with them full time. I want to work as an agent to help build my foundation, create contacts, and establish a reputation. My question is, will me signing with this Brokerage firm prevent me from also continuing on in my own personal business that I started a year ago doing wholesale and flips? Any advice or direction to real estate attorneys who I can get into contact with would be much appreciated!
