HELOCs, Home Equity loans, etc.

Hey all,

I'm at the stage of securing my finances as I start to explore markets and look for an investment property. Given that I'm still young and have limited resources, my parents have been generous enough to offer some help through our equity in our home. Does anyone have any good resources that will do a deep dive/explanation into HELOCs, Home Equity loans, and other options (not refinancing)? In addition, can their HELOC be used to help me buy an investment property (whether I do this under my own name or under an LLC)? Thanks!
