Where Can I Find Mentors In Toronto To Help With BRRRR?

Hi guys, I have been investing for the past two years and threw myself in the deep end right away, my deals arent bad but could be better, I realized what I need to improve as an investor is to get a mentor, does anyone have any advise on where or how I can find one. I know many will say to network but with who, since i'm looking specifically for those expierenced in BRRRR'ing?

depends on the price of the duplex and how much money you have saved (if any) for the downpayment. you have a few choices, you can get a hard money loan (easier to get, not run through a bank so lighter requirements, lender looks at the asset itself instead of you as a borrower, it is a bit expensive to get it in the first place though), you can find a private lender (friends, family, co-workers and split profits with them and/or pay interest), you can find a partner (you bring the deals and they offer up the money), theres a few things you can do.

Hey Leo, I'd first recommend outlining your goal, why you want to invest to begin with. Once you have the answer, I'd then start looking into what the purpose behind the property, for example do you want to buy a property for yourself to live in, do you want to flip, do you want to house hack, do you want to BRRRR. Once you decide and have a rough idea, begin doing in depth research regarding the exact deal you want to do. Once you know if your going to commit to investing, get a real estate agent if you dont already. In case you need one, I know the perfect buy who specializes in everything that I mentioned at the beginning. To be honest, the biggerpockets community is all you really need, if you read all the forums, read the books and watch their podcasts, youll be more or less ready to go!
