Chicago radiator heating expense

Hi BP! 

I'm planning on purchasing a 3/4-unit in the near future and wanted to gut check my utility estimates for my analyses, specifically for steam radiator heating. I was wondering if someone could please share what the avg cost has been to run this within the past year & how many units/rooms your property has. I understand that it depends on a lot of factors, such as the condition of the boiler, window insulation, etc but just wanted to see if I'm in the same ballpark. I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks in advance!

@Jessica H., try contracting the utility company. In my area they will give you the average monthly cost over the past year for the house you're interested in. That will give you the best idea.
