New Investor Hard Money Lending

So I have been on the phone with several hard money lenders in my area and I am being told that due to current market situation hard money lending to new investors are not being offered. If you cannot show at least one deal in the last three years they are not funding your deal unless you can bring in a partner who has the experience and can show it. Anyone else have come across this situation? If so, what options or alternatives have you considered or found?

The option then, it seems, is to partner with some one. 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
Much success.
