Looking for some direction

Hi!

I'm fresh to the game, just passed my sales licensing exam (literally 2 hours ago), I'm just looking for direction as to where I can find a team I can join, a good firm to join, or if I should just start my own team (as a realtor). Also, if there's anyone in the BP community that's willing to work with a newbie like myself, let me know!

Just as some additional information, I plan on using the money I make from being a realtor as funds to invest in properties. Within my county (Brown) and the counties around mine. Whether that's a fix and flip, BRRR, or long-term rental.

And one more note: I already have a firm interested in taking me on (VanderLeest Properties), and another that's going to be interviewing me (Impact). If anyone knows about these teams/firms what do you have to say about them?

Thanks to anyone checking out and responding to my post.

First of all, you’re doing the right thing by being here. Biggest thing starting out is the teams aren’t interviewing you, you’re interviewing them. RE is a pyramid scheme, the more people under you, the better so you have more leverage than you think, even as a newbie. Surround yourself with people who are like minded, your income will be the average of the top five people you surround yourself with.
