Parking license as non active RE agent

Posted

Hello all, I'm currently taking a RE exam class just to learn a few things, not really sure if I want to get my license as I'm not planning on selling RE and I know it is very expensive to maintain the license due to brokerage fees. He in WI you must be associated with a broker in order to be an active agent. One thing I heard is that new agents can "park" their license for the time being. You don't get access to MLS, but you can be a referral agent on your own deals asking for 25-50% Has anyone heard or even done that? Here is an example https://parkyourlicenseforfree.com/ not sure if this is legit though. I would hate not to take the opportunity to get the license since already spend money on the class, but I didn't realize it will be anywhere from 2K to 20k to be associated with a broker

thank you ya all
