Has anybody heard of him?  I am planning to attend his seminars? Should I be careful?

I wish I hadn’t figured this out the hard way. I attended a free event that shared a few useful tips and offered for $300 to provide resources to actually use when finding and analyzing deals, as well as resources on how to find leads for off-market deals, etc. It was a 2 for 1 admission so a friend and I split this and paid $150 each.

Unfortunately it has been nothing but dangling a carrot; the speaker has reviewed a handful of useful facts and tidbits but not actual education on how to use them and instead says “wouldn’t it be great if you had someone LIKE A COACH to make sure you were doing this correctly?”

It’s a 3 day seminar to pitch to you all the reasons why you need to spend more money joining their “Elite Success Club” to get help with real estate deals.

While this might be something many people are interested in, I am not getting what I paid for. On top of my $150, I’m out the cost of a hotel stay and income lost while away from my existing business. I’m on day 2 of 3 and not sure if I should bother staying in hopes that I get what I came for, or if I should just leave now.

I agree with you, @Paul Hernandez. I just attended his seminar lead by one of his associates. The contents were very basic and they are targeting to beginners - which is totally fine - and I didn't find much value to sign up for the upcoming 3 days seminar for additional costs. They started with $1999 value or something and slashed it to $999 or something if u were to signed up that day. It was not for me. You will get so much more information by listening to BP youtube in my humble opinion :)

not good.  the conference in the speakers forbid you to ask questions initially so that you would not out them as paying like a club.

After much consideration, I think being a PRO bigger pockets member is the better investment

I have heard of him and listened to a couple videos on YouTube! I have no personal testimony for or against Joe, but I think you should approach all seminars basically the same way. Gather as much information as you can, and decide which discussed activities make the most sense for you to add/adjust/remove from your routine. The best way I've found to make this decision is to compare the activities with your goals, both short- and long-term, decide which will have the biggest ROI (considering expected growth/success in comparison with time/financial investment), and commit to those activities for a set amount of time, usually 4-6 months, before re-evaluating. Hope this helps, and sorry it's not more specific to Joe!

They will NOT give you any of those leads unless you sign up for the other courses which range from $9K -25K. It’s a complete scam.

Hey guys so my wife and I just went to the seminar yesterday and for us it’s $195 for both of us and I just wanna confirm that in this three days they don’t offer you their contacts or lenders? Because during the seminar they said that they give you their connections and in general give you all the tools you need to succeed. We didn’t have the money yesterday we were going to wait until our next payday and they said as long as we pay before the three days we can attend

Went to their 3 day seminar here in Houston this weekend and I can confirm this is pretty much it. By the second day I realized all they were trying to do was sell their expensive programs and scaring people into thinking they need a coach to handle all their finances.

Obviously it helps to have help but for a prize of $25k its not worth it.

I’ve been contacted by several investors who have bought into the “community.” They love the social but they tell me they lack the training to buy properties successfully and confidently.

There are those of us that provide one on one, personal, individualized hand held training to make sure you actually buy properties, avoid trouble and teach you the processes, for about 60% of that fee.

I was just contacted by someone who joined a guru “community” and now is in a pickle because they weren’t told about the pitfalls and fell into one. Seems such a shame and it could have been avoided.

Here are some of those pitfalls. Be wise and avoid them. Get trained properly.
