Hey BP, I recently came across this site when I was doing a search on seminars in my area. It's called New York Real Estate Institute. Is any here familiar with them ?. I added the link above.

I agree, there can be poor instructors in a classroom setting, I've suffered through many of them. Kinda why I was talking about vetting the institution and the instructor. I can say that if the same school and the same instructor who is a good teacher and is qualified, etc. were to offer the same course material on line and in a classroom setting, the value of the classroom would be higher. It's really a communication issue and personal interaction, not only with the instructor but also with peers. :)

Edited second thought too.

A well known author (not best known to me) was speaking about colleges and tuitions. His point was to a graduate level education at a state school vs the ivy league schools. He was saying "seriously, can you say that Harvard is really giving you a an education that is 10 times better than the state university" the answer is really no. It's not about the course material or renowned professor who won a Nobel prize in economics for example, it's about the contacts made by attending Harvard vs the those made at a state university. It's about the opportunities that are laid out before you by interacting with the other students.

That goes to say, you won't be forming many close relationships from an on-line course compared to attending a class. :)
