where can I research foreclose homes in Brooklyn, ny

Question

Hi im looking to buy a single family foreclose property as my first home to live in. Where can I get free or close to free information on this. As for liens will I be responsible for it or will it be taken off by the lender prior. Is there anything else I should research on a foreclose property before closing and how do I do that. Im new to all this. I want to make sure i know what to expect before I dodge in. Thanks in advance BP

@Jennifer Chrispin You can look for foreclosure just by googling foreclosures.  However, I would advise you to pick up a book or read a couple blog's or post's on buying a foreclosed home with lien's on them.   You don't want to dig yourself into a hole without knowing how to get out.  Check Craiglist's and Zillow which are two good websites for this.
