Anything in San Diego area??

Question

Hi everyone!

I live in the San Diego area and want to find groups of people to learn from! If anyone knows of any local groups or meetups open to the public that would be awesome! I want to surround myself with like-minded people so I can grow in the real estate world.

Jump on the Meetup website and do a 25 or 50 mile radius search for real estate and you'll find all the local clubs the @Dan Heuschele mentioned and more. I'm a sponsor at a few and was on the board for NSDREI for about a decade. Most of the clubs here don't have an agenda, they just provide speakers with something to teach and no "run to the back of the room" to sign up for their seminar BS. The BrewRE is a good social networking event run by SDREN. There's a small group meeting at Booze Brothers in Vista tonight at 5:30. No speaker there, just a get together on the back patio with other real estate investors. SDCIA has their meeting next Tuesday and the NSDREI is the Tuesday after that. There's also a couple clubs in Riverside and L.A. that you might want to join that have some meetings on Zoom.

Meetup.COM has many San Diego RE meetups.

There are also various RE groups SDRE, NSDRE, SDCIA (I am a member), STRA (I donated before they had membership ($5k) so I think they should make me a member but have not done anything to try to make it happen) among others.  These groups typically have a reduced fee for their meetups for members but non-members are welcome for a slightly higher cost.

My experience is meetups with agendas of sponsored by the groups (even if it is only a networking event) have a far more experienced attendees than meetups without an agenda (meetings with brew, social, network, etc in the name).  There is nothing wrong with these social meetups, but they have a large percent of newbies.

As indicated meetups from the RE groups typically have experienced investor turnout as well as meetups with a more specific content in the name. For example private lending master (run by my friend Janice) has many experienced Re Investors in attendance.

There is no shortage of local meetups. Visit some and find the one(s) you enjoy.
