New to real estate investing, here to learn

Hi All,

My name is Taylor, I'm new to Bigger Pockets and real estate investing in general. I'm a recent Chicago transplant now living in Charlotte, NC looking to start my portfolio.

I've wanted to get into RE investing for some time but hit a wall when it came to starting. I'm ready to jump into the deep end this time and am primarily interested in a mentorship/partnership to help me through my first deal (and hopefully many more). My experience is in construction project management and I have some capital to bring to the table as well. I'm not necessarily locked into the Charlotte market, although I'd prefer to be local for my first deal, and want to focus on a long term rental or BRRRR.

Any advice, recommendations, or introductions are welcome.

Taylor

Hey Taylor!

Welcome to the area! I remember the mental blocks that come with getting started. I work with a local REI company based out of Cabarrus County. We do all kinds of investments in the Charlotte and the surrounding counties. While we have done projects in the Charlotte area, we are heavy in Cabarrus and Rowan counties right now. I'd be happy to network with you a little bit to see what you need to get started.
