College student seeking advice

Alyssa Aleman
Posted

I am a 20 year old college student majoring in finance. My main interest is real estate investment and mainly house hacking and rentals (but I honestly don’t know much about other options). I have been trying to look for an internship in the Miami area but it is difficult to find something related to real estate investment. I’m just looking for some advice on maybe some internship titles that I could look for that are different but would still benefit me. It would also help if anyone knows any companies in the Miami area that I could search up or even if you think I shouldn’t even get an internship. I have a little money saved but just not enough knowledge or experience so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

@Alyssa Aleman Try going to local investor meetups. You'll meet people that are investors, PMs, realtors, lenders, etc. that could be looking for a part-time worker. Also join FB groups centered around investing in Miami, you may find some posts about people looking for interns. Make sure you utilize LinekdIn for connections, networking on LinkedIn got me my job before I became a realtor.
