God Thing or Chance?

Question

Went to PA for a Memorial Service, stayed with a cousin, helping with yard work, lawn maintenance rolls up (never met), we start talking, find out he’s a realestate investor, “No way.”, find out he does the Bigger Pockets thing, another “No way.”, read a lot of the same books, “no way, no way, no way”, listen to the same podcasts, you know, immediately become acquaintances, found a realtor thru Bigger Pockets, put in an offer, but they went with someone else. Wow! Didn’t even come up here for this, but it started the wheels turning.

Buying property up here is more affordable (for our budget) than ATL. So instead of using HELOC to put down 20% and having another mortgage, we could use it to buy outright.

We got our PA business license and are under way for investing in this area.

@Greg Schreffler Take it slow and buy quality. Its affordable here but I have seen 90% of all investors fail from out of state. They dont know the market, they are too reckless and they think its easy. values here have risen to the point to where its not as affordable as it was 10 years ago because of the flooding of out of state money.
