Interested in land and single family home flipping

Hello hello! Super excited to be here and take our first giant leap. I’m very interested in land flipping (also single family homes) but wondering if tax auctions are the best place to start. Once found, are there preferred options for reselling? 

Finally, if anyone is in MSP would love to know if there are forums you attend. Excited to meet this community!
